Lode Vercampt was born in Tielt, Belgium in 1973. He started to play cello at the age of six. In 1996 he finished his studied at the Conservatory of Ghent where he came in touch with theatre, jazz, pop and experimental music. He received awards such a Astoria-competition, Jeunes talents and Pro civitate. Lode Vercampt have been involve in music, theather and dance productions and have been working with an incredible differents artists and musicians such as Kris Defoort, Claron Mac Fadon, Trio Dick van der Harst, Trio Vercampt-Sluis-Mendoza, Wim Mertens, among others.
